Competitive Teams
Athletes are invited to attend our Group Training Sessions, where players will sharpen their skills, enhance their game intelligence, and strengthen their overall performance on the field.

How do the Coastal Crush Competitive Teams work?
Coastal Crush teams have 1 to 2 team practices with their coaches per week while participating in various tournaments throughout the season.
How many players are on a team?
The format for most tournaments is 5v5 so rosters will be made up of 8-10 players in order to maximize development.

Each high school-level team (7v7) consists of 12-1 players. If there are enough players at a particular grade level to form two teams, they will be designated as the Blue team and Gold team, with player placement determined by the coaches.
The club reserves the right to move individual players between teams as needed. As a player’s skills and commitment level progress, they may be invited to join a higher-level team. These roster adjustments ensure each team competes at the appropriate level while maximizing the development and experience of every player.

Coaching: A competitive team offers a higher level of coaching expertise and experience, designed to elevate athletes' knowledge, skill development, and overall performance. Our dedicated coaches provide advanced training techniques, in-depth game strategy, and individualized feedback to refine each player’s abilities. With a focus on precision, tactical awareness, and elite-level fundamentals, athletes receive the tools they need to sharpen their skills, gain confidence, and compete at higher levels. When and Where Are Tournaments Held?
Tournaments are held throughout the year, primarily in Southern California, with opportunities for qualifying teams to compete at the national level. We strive to provide as much advance notice as possible once our annual schedule is confirmed.
How does Coastal Crush decide who coaches the teams?
Coaching assignments for existing teams will be determined before tryouts. Coastal Crush reserves the right to adjust coaching placements as needed based on availability and team requirements, so assignments may be subject to change. Our qualified coaches each undergo a background check and maintain CPR and Concussion certifications to ensure the highest safety standards.

Practice Sessions
Join our Practice Only Sessions to receive top-notch coaching that prioritizes skill-building, teamwork, and character development, setting the stage for a successful flag football journey.
Once you register your daughter, her coach will reach out with details on practice times, locations, and the monthly schedule. Whenever possible, practices will be held at a convenient local spot within your neighborhood to accommodate parents and coaches. Typically, sessions take place 1-2 times per week for about 90 minutes. Coaches are encouraged to be flexible with scheduling, as many players participate in multiple sports.
Speed and Agility
Coastal Crush provides specialized speed and agility training designed to enhance players' overall athleticism, strength, endurance, and on-field performance. Through targeted drills, dynamic exercises, and expert coaching, athletes will develop quicker reflexes, improved footwork, and greater explosiveness. This training not only helps players excel in flag football but also builds a strong foundation for success in any sport by improving coordination, balance, and stamina.
Injury Prevention
Specialized injury prevention sessions designed to keep athletes healthy, strong, and performing at their best. These sessions focus on proper warm-up techniques, strength training, flexibility, and mobility exercises to reduce the risk of common sports injuries. Our expert coaches and trainers educate players on body mechanics, recovery strategies, and injury awareness, helping them develop safe habits both on and off the field. By prioritizing injury prevention, we aim to enhance longevity in the sport and ensure our athletes stay game-ready throughout the season.
